Artists Futures Fund  - Breakthrough Artists Fellowship

I am honoured to part-take in the 2025-26 Breakthrough fellowhsip offered by Artists Futures Fund.

Reflecting on my experience on the fellowship has been such an enlightening and inspirational one. Having an extra year in the Loughborough University studios has provided a space I am comfortable in to take the next step in my artistic career.

I used my fellowship year to explore and reconnect with the physicality of making having moved away for physical processes during my undergraduate degree. Focusing on painting and print-making specifically.

I had the incredible opportunity to get involved in some teaching, taking part in lectures and supervised studio time. Which has been an eye-opening experience into the other side of university life.

The Fellowship provided learning opportunities in which we as a cohort are given incredible workshops provided by the Visual Arts Association which have given amazing advice to the 25/26 AFF cohort.

I look forward to closing my fellowship year with the AFF Showcase in October 2026 at the Zari Gallery - Curated by Hannah Wallis.

While in the Loughborough Post-Grad studios my peers and I formed a Collective called 'The Fishbowl Collective'-

Together we created a space that truly encourages creativity and collaboration.  We ran Drop-in advice session to offer our experience and advice to those on the Fine Art BA at Loughborough.
