Olivia Grace Davis Art - Contemporary Fine Artist 

I am currently located back in Loughborough, part-taking in the ArtisitsFuturesFund Breakthrough Artist Fellowship 25/26.

Where I am continuing to explore themes of self-reclamation, bodily autonomy, and the recontextualisation of the female nude through immersive installation.

 

Having worked with with fabric-printed photographic images, to construct intimate environments that invite critical engagement with vulnerability, consent, and authorship. Most recently I have been experimenting with how these documentation can be translated into paint as a means to reconstruct the female nude. Rooted in personal experience, my work confronts the historical objectification of the female body by presenting moments of private ritual—such as a cathartic shower routine—as acts of protest and healing. Through considered positioning, movement, and materiality, I aim to disrupt voyeuristic tendencies and challenge traditional narratives surrounding the representation of women in art.
